Mostly Fakes and Scammers on Elite Singles

There are far more fakes and scammers on this site than real women looking to meet someone. More fakes and scams than any of the other dating sites I've tried - Match, Plenty of Fish, etc.

The scammer activity is very obvious once you've experienced it a few times and it doesn't appear that Elite Singles does anything proactive to address the problem.

They allow members to enter their cell phone number as their username or at least in the title of their profile, so it's the first thing you see. These were scammers 100% of the time and it would be easy for Elite Singles to prevent this from being allowed and/or track this profile type down and remove them - but they don't.

Another common scam is someone contacting you to tell you about their friend who really liked your profile and they try to get you to contact their friend using an email address in the message. These were scammers 100% of the time.

Frankly, Elite Singles is a big waste of time and I won't be using their site again.

-I signed up for 1 month and got into a 1-year membership.
-I was only billed 30 days after the purchase.
Making it impossible to refund the large sum taken from my account (According to "Katie" from support).
Predatory pricing.
-I am experienced with online purchases, but this caught me off guard.

In spite of my stated preferences for age and distance I continually receive profiles of women who are hundreds of miles distant and some who are considerably older Some 15 yrs older) than my requested age range. Several people who I sent a smile to disappeared shortly after. I don't feel like I'm getting a very good quality/quantity of people who meet my stated preferences

Very disappointed

Not pleased at all with the suggested matches thus far. Hoping to meet a woman a little younger than I am (I am 54). The app is only suggesting women my age or older. Huge flaw that user cannot control age range of matches. Only on the “what ifs” can I request an age range…and my requests on what if are not sync’d w my matches at all. That’s a flaw in your system. Unless something radical changes I will not remain a member very long and I highly doubt I will go on even one date from this app based on what I’ve seen so far.

It's all one big money scam

If you don't want to be fighting to get your money back, don't let these fraudsters bait you into buying a membership. They barely have any real accounts, it's all one big scam. There is no use in trying to find sweet and beautiful of ladies on EliteSingles, the name of the site is deceptive and sarcastic. In fact, it's a bad joke. Investing money in one thing, but wasting it is another. Elitesingles are money grubbers. I hope they will be shut down soon.

Another dating site waste of my money

Nothing elite about this dating site. There is no ability to do your own search and majority of matches I receive are >100 miles away. Watch out for the distance you chose in your search filter. I chose 50 miles (the smallest miles possible) but every couple of days Elite Singles changes it to 500 miles. I change it back to 50 & every other time I check, it is changed to 500. Unethical company! They will never get a another penny from me.

Not an elite experience

Overall I found this site was confusing to use and did not offer anything extra in terms of matching me with more educated or more suitable singles in my age range compared with other sites. Many profiles that were suggested lacked any photos at all and the so-called wild card selections only showed one photo until you clicked on them. There are a lot of scammers approaching women when you first sign up possibly because there seems to be no process in place for validating profiles.
On the plus side the customer service was good and I was able to get a refund.

I’ve tried before and get the message that everything is fixed when it’s not even close. I can no longer even see my pictures. I can’t add anything but selfies and I don’t want that. I also can’t see the messages I send. They’re invisible after I hit enter. I don’t even know what I’ve said. For $131 I’d think you’d have better service.

Does not allow user to be authentic

Website does not permit authentic communication of the user..format is very limiting, including multiple choice selections. Very structured. No opportunity to describe religious beliefs, you must make yourself sound like you are practicing or agnostic. Not great facilities for uploading photos...not every photo is suitable for 400 x 400.

I have been emailing back and forth with Meredith for over a week. At one point she offered me $29.95 of my $107.70 refund. I told her, if that was the best she could do I would take it, and that I really thought I should get at least half back. I used the platform for two days and was unable to navigate the website to contact customer service. I had to contact Elite Singles through my credit card. After a week and a half, Elite Singles has retracted their offer to reimburse me $29.95. I am out the entire $107.70.

There is a "Customer Support" link on the website, not the app. They do reply, but are ineffective and just spout more propaganda about their site.

I wish I could help you. I've been using the contact feature on their website and I have had a few responses (template style emails) but am not getting what I want---a refund. Elite singles HQ is in Germany. I feel like I am peeing into the wind with them but we have to keep trying! Infuriating, isn't it?
